Fougere joins CRES as Senior Strategic Communications Consultant
CRES Director Dr. Michael Sykuta today announced the hiring of John Fougere, of Columbia, as the Center’s new Senior Strategic Communications Consultant. Fougere joins CRES with nearly 30 years of experience in public and media relations, including previous service with the University of Missouri System. In his new role, he will lead all CRES communications strategies, including media relations, executive speechwriting, website content and social media. CRES Graduate Fellowship Opportunity
CRES is offering a fully funded PhD opportunity in cooperation with the University of Missouri Economics Department for students starting in Fall 2026 with an interest in energy economics and energy policy. The position entails teaching assistant responsibilities during the first two years of the student’s course of study followed by a research assistantship with CRES for the remainder of the student’s program.
